A key figure in vision science, Susana Marcos showcases SimVis Gekko during TEDx Catarata at Latin America’s premier refractive surgery event

São Paulo, Brazil – Renowned vision scientist and founder of 2EyesVision, Susana Marcos, was a featured speaker at BRASCRS 2025 — the Brazilian Congress of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, held from May 28–31 in São Paulo.

Her presentation, “Preop IOL performance simulation with SimVis,” was part of TEDx Catarata, one of the most high-profile and innovative sessions of the congress. In it, she introduced the groundbreaking SimVis Gekko, an advanced vision simulator that allows patients to preview the effects of various intraocular lenses (IOLs) before surgery — empowering both surgeons and patients to make more informed, personalized decisions.
