Agreement strengthens the global expansion of SimVis Gekko and supports the adoption of real-world visual simulation in one of the world’s largest ophthalmology markets

Guangzhou, China — 2EyesVision, the company behind SimVis Gekko, the world’s first real-world visual simulator for cataract and presbyopia procedures, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Guangzhou DMK Technology Co., Ltd. for Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. The agreement marks a significant commercial milestone for 2EyesVision and reinforces the company’s international expansion strategy in one of the most dynamic ophthalmology markets worldwide.

Through this partnership, ophthalmologists across Greater China will gain access to SimVis Gekko, the visual simulator that allows patients to experience their future vision before surgery by viewing the real world through simulated intraocular lens corrections. The growing adoption of premium intraocular lenses has increased the need for tools that help patients better understand expected visual outcomes before surgery. By allowing patients to experience different visual corrections in real-world conditions, SimVis Gekko helps improve patient understanding, increase confidence during the consultation process, and support a more personalized recommendation process. The agreement was formally signed in China by representatives of both companies, including Máximo Gómez, Chief Strategy Officer at 2EyesVision, and Marica D’Angelo, International Markets Manager.

“China is one of the most important ophthalmology markets globally and a strategic region for the future growth of 2EyesVision. We are delighted to partner with DMK Technology to bring real-world visual simulation to surgeons and patients across Greater China. As premium cataract procedures continue to expand worldwide, visual simulation is becoming an increasingly valuable tool to improve patient understanding, support clinical conversations, and facilitate the adoption of advanced vision correction solutions,” said Máximo Gómez, Chief Strategy Officer at 2EyesVision.

“We are pleased to partner with 2EyesVision to bring SimVis Gekko to ophthalmologists across Greater China. We believe this innovative technology can help enhance patient understanding before surgery and support a more personalized consultation process. We look forward to introducing real-world visual simulation to eye care professionals throughout the region,” said Bao Yin, President of DMK Technology.

Founded in 1997, DMK Technology specializes in ophthalmic technologies and has extensive experience introducing innovative international solutions into the Chinese market.

The partnership represents another step toward 2EyesVision’s vision of making real-world visual simulation a standard part of the patient journey before cataract and refractive procedures worldwide.
