Alejandra Varea
Industrial Ph. D.
Alejandra Varea is a dedicated visual scientist and optometrist with a strong passion for research in Visual Optics and Vision Sciences. Currently pursuing his Industrial Ph.D. Candidate at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and 2EyesVision by Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), her research focuses on the development and evaluation of the SimVis Technology (visual simulator) and a new visual simulator based on a Progressive Addition Lenses and the evaluation for their application in an optometric environment.
Education

- Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in optical and imaging technologies (2018-2019) – University of Madrid (UCM), Thesis Title: “construction of ex vivo eye models with localized biomechanical changes by CXL and collagenase”.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Optics and Optometry (2014-2018) – University of Zaragoza, Spain. Thesis Title: “aspheric intraocular lens design”.
