The new e-learning platform enables clinicians to become certified in SimVis Gekko and integrate visual simulation into routine IOL counseling
Madrid, Spain, April 2026 – 2EyesVision announces the launch of SimVis Academy, its new e-learning platform designed to support clinicians and partners in the adoption and effective use of SimVis Gekko, the binocular visual simulator for preoperative IOL evaluation.
SimVis Academy provides structured training and certification, enabling users to learn how to integrate real-world visual simulation into preoperative consultations. The platform includes educational modules, scientific content based on published studies, and access to webinars, offering a comprehensive learning environment tailored to clinical practice.
The training is designed to be flexible and efficient, allowing users to progress at their own pace and typically completed in approximately one hour. In addition, personalized tutorials can be provided to address specific questions and support individual learning needs.
With SimVis Gekko, patients can experience how they would see with different intraocular lenses before surgery, viewing real-world environments rather than simulated images. This approach enhances patient understanding, supports more personalized clinical recommendations, and helps align expectations with postoperative outcomes .
“Training is key to unlocking the full value of visual simulation in clinical practice,” said Marina Martin, Profesional Education at 2EyesVision.
“SimVis Academy is designed to ensure that clinicians can confidently incorporate this technology into their workflow, improving both patient experience and clinical communication.”
Access to SimVis Academy is available to current customers and partners through 2EyesVision. Distributors can request access for their centers by contacting the company and providing user details. Upon successful completion of the training, participants receive an official certification.
The platform is currently available in English and is already accessible to customers worldwide. Additional language versions are under development to further expand accessibility and support global adoption.
SimVis Academy represents a new step in 2EyesVision’s mission to make visual simulation a standard part of preoperative cataract and refractive surgery, contributing to more informed, personalized, and patient-centered care.
