Máximo Gómez, who brings nearly three decades of international experience in healthcare — including the pharmaceutical, nutrition, consumer and medtech sectors — takes on executive leadership of the company to drive its growth, business development and international expansion.

  • Carlos Dorronsoro, founder of 2EyesVision and CEO until now, will take on the role of Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), leading innovation, research and product development, while continuing to serve as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
  • 2EyesVision continues to drive its international expansion, having signed an exclusive distribution agreement for mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, while advancing new opportunities in India and strengthening its presence in the United States.

Madrid, 8 September 2026. 2EyesVision, an innovative ophthalmic technology company backed by Bullnet Capital, has appointed Máximo Gómez as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company’s next phase of growth and international expansion. At the same time, Carlos Dorronsoro, the company’s founder, will take on the role of Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), from which he will focus on innovation, research and product development, while continuing to serve as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

Both appointments reflect the company’s evolution towards a more mature organisation with a reinforced management structure and complementary responsibilities. This new structure provides continuity and stability for the project and will strengthen the company’s ability to meet its upcoming challenges in growth, business development, international expansion and innovation, with both leaders’ renewed commitment to the future of 2EyesVision.

Against this backdrop, the company continues to accelerate its international expansion. 2EyesVision has recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Guangzhou DMK Technology for mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, strengthening its presence in one of the world’s largest ophthalmic markets. The company is also in talks to advance its entry into India and continues to strengthen its position in the United States, where it has been operating for several years.

Máximo Gómez takes on executive leadership of the company after joining 2EyesVision in 2025 with the goal of driving its strategy for growth, business development and international expansion.

He brings nearly three decades of international experience in the healthcare sector, built at organisations including MSD, Abbott and Johnson & Johnson, where he held the position of General Manager – and was a member of the European Committee of Johnson & Johnson Vision.

His experience in implementing growth strategies and managing international businesses will be key to driving 2EyesVision’s expansion and accelerating the adoption of its technology in new markets.

“2EyesVision has a truly differentiated technology with enormous growth potential. Our goal is to keep consolidating the company’s development, strengthening our presence in the markets where we already operate and accelerating international expansion so that more and more professionals can bring our solutions into their clinical practice”, says Máximo Gómez, CEO of 2EyesVision.

For his part, Carlos Dorronsoro will focus his work on innovation, research, technology and product development. Co-founder of 2EyesVision alongside Susana Marcos, Dorronsoro holds a PhD in Visual Optics and is a Scientific Researcher at the CSIC. As the inventor of SimVis technology, he has led the development of SimVis Gekko, the visual simulator that allows patients to try out different intraocular lenses before cataract and presbyopia surgery.

SimVis Gekko is a binocular visual simulator that lets patients experience, before surgery, what their vision will be like with the different correction options for presbyopia and cataracts. This helps patients better understand each option and set realistic expectations, while giving ophthalmologists more information to guide the clinical decision, in two of the most common procedures worldwide.

“Since founding 2EyesVision, we have worked to develop a technology capable of transforming the way ophthalmologists and patients prepare for cataract or presbyopia surgery: patients understand their options better, and ophthalmologists decide with more information. This new stage will allow us to focus on continuing to drive innovation and develop new solutions that keep improving clinical practice and the patient experience” says Carlos Dorronsoro, CIO of 2EyesVision.

Reflecting this new stage of growth, 2EyesVision has also moved its headquarters to new offices in Plaza de Castilla (Madrid). The new premises, larger and more centrally located, will allow the company to grow its team and continue strengthening its operational capacity.
