Industrial PhD

Industrially focused research project and PhD education to be carried out in collaboration between a private company, 2Eyes Vision, and a public research institution in Madrid.
2Eyes Vision (www.2eyesvision.com) is a spin-off company of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) with the purpose of creating and developing technologies for visual diagnostics and corrections.
The project will focus on the development of a new simulator of progressive ophthalmic lenses for the optometry market.

Role:

• The successful candidate will design, build and validate clinically a new device with application in Optometry.

• Research and clinical-oriented project.

• Publication of results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences resulting in the obtention of a PhD.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have completed a Master of Science in Optometry, Physics, Biomedical Engineering or related fields.

• Interest in applied science and medical devices. Strong motivation for interdisciplinary research.

• Previous lab experience is desirable.

• High level of written and spoken English desirable.

Conditions:

• 3 years contract.

• Gross salary: 22.400 €/year

• Possibility of joining an expanding and interdisciplinary team with international projection.

• Starting date: January 2023.
