Candela Rodríguez

Candela Rodríguez Pomar is a highly trained optometrist specializing in the anterior segment of the eye and medical device design and development. She currently holds the position of Clinical Operations Director at 2EyesVision, where she applies her deep expertise to lead key initiatives in clinical affairs and medical device innovation.

Candela holds a Ph.D. in Optometry from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, providing her with an exceptional foundation in clinical practice and research. Her professional experience spans the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on clinical affairs, R&D management and international medical device registration.

Prior to joining 2EyesVision, Candela worked at Avizor S.A. where she played a key role in the design and development of innovative products and improvements to existing products. Her work included the coordination and design of preclinical and clinical studies, as well as supporting the regulatory department in obtaining marketing approvals and renewals.

While pursuing her Ph.D., Candela compiled essential preclinical and clinical studies to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of an invasive medical device. She has published several scientific papers on ocular surface disease and contactology and has presented her research at prestigious international conferences.

Candela’s multidisciplinary expertise in healthcare and medical devices makes her a key member of the 2EyesVision team.
